Grantham has always been an important place for travellers. It stands astride one of England’s greatest highways, the Great North Road, as well as having a station on one of the most important railway routes in the country.
This new book, titled ‘Grantham – a Lincolnshire Railway Centre’, tells the history of how Grantham developed into one of the county’s most important rail hubs – a role that is still true today.
